US (KY): Still no cannabis store operating in the state

Despite medical cannabis being legal in Kentucky for 5 weeks, there are still no retail fronts operating. The director of economic development for the city of Erlanger explained that medical cannabis must be cultivated in Kentucky.

While some dispensary licenses have been awarded, there are still no cultivation operations. Certain requirements need to be met before businesses can open, and the director expects this to happen by the end of the year.

Another question is demand, as suppliers want to ensure there are enough qualified patients in the state.
