The Ohio Department of Commerce Division of Cannabis Control (DCC) has unveiled the Cannabis Service Center (CSC), a centralized system designed to efficiently handle inquiries from licensees, medical patients, non-medical consumers, the public, and other stakeholders. The CSC aims to improve the processing and management of the approximately 120 inquiries the Division receives daily.
"Over the course of the past year, the Division has received countless inquiries from a wide range of individuals, businesses and industries," Jim Canepa, DCC Superintendent said. "While we've done our best to ensure a timely response and provide helpful guidance, this resource will allow us to more efficiently engage with individuals in the event they are asking questions, seeking guidance or sharing concerns related to Ohio's cannabis market."
The CSC, modeled after the successful Liquor Enterprise Service Center, serves as a single point of contact to ensure timely and effective case management. It is initially focused on core case management functionality, with plans to expand its capabilities, including a licensee portal and additional tools to enhance user experience.
The Division's mission is to ensure a fair and equitable marketplace and provide safe, tested products for consumers. The CSC is expected to support this mission by improving stakeholder and consumer satisfaction, enhancing transparency, and ensuring safety and accountability in Ohio's evolving cannabis landscape.
