US: Vermont releases end of year data for 2024

The Vermont Cannabis Control Board has released its end-of-the-year summary of Adult Use Program licensing data, finding a slight increase in active cannabis licenses throughout the year, increased indoor and decreased outdoor growing square footage and a decrease in total patient and caregivers in the state's medical program.

Current up to Nov. 15, 2024, data from the CCB's Executive Director Report found that there are 583 active licenses in the state. Three Hundred and eighty-seven of which were cultivation licenses; three were integrated licenses; 88 were manufacturing; 94 were retail; two were testing lab licenses, and nine were wholesaler licenses.

The largest three-month increases in new licenses were in Cultivation, Manufacturing and Retail, with four new cultivators and manufacturers and nine new retail establishments.

Of the current 583 active licenses, 61% were of standard priority status, 22% were of Economic Empowerment priority status, and 17% were of Social Equity priority, making up 358, 129 and 96 individual licenses, respectively.
