US (OR): Portland cultivator aims to start delivery service

A Portland cannabis micro-cultivator is seeking a special zoning permit to deliver its products to customers operating out of a separate building nearby.

Applicant Rino Ferrarese, managing partner of Affinity Grow, located at 47 Lower Main St., is proposing to contract Slap Ash Delivery of Chicago, Ill., and the cannabis transport company Grow Green Girls of Coventry to expand its services to 338 Airline Ave. in the town's industrial zone.

Affinity Grow was Connecticut's first micro-cultivator of cannabis after recreational use became legal. The facility has 10,000 square feet of grow space, the limit for such a micro-cultivator in Connecticut.

Ferrarese began his career as a microbiologist. His last job was running the state's largest cannabis cultivation facility, CT Pharma's Rocky Hill site, with 216,000 square feet of grow space.
