Cannavigia preparing for expansion into Germany

Cannavigiahas announced its readiness to support the upcoming adult-use cannabis pilot projects in Germany. As discussions continue with over 25 municipalities across multiple federal states, Cannavigia stands prepared to provide its Cannabis Dispensary System (CDS), adapted to meet the specific needs of the German regulatory framework.

With 48 points of sale (POS) currently in use - including pharmacies, social clubs, dispensaries, and drug information centers - Cannavigia's system tracks every step of the cannabis supply chain, ensuring secure and compliant monitoring from production to the point of sale. The system will be tailored to meet Germany's pilot project requirements.

Timo Bongartz, CEO of Cannavigia said: "Our software solution has successfully handled over 100,000 transactions across various product types such as flower, hashish, oils, vapes, and edibles through our Swiss pilot projects. With 48 points of sale and a participant base nearing 10,000 individuals, our platform has proven its scalability and reliability. As we move forward in Germany, we are fully prepared to replicate and adapt this success for the German pilot projects."

While Switzerland's pilot project model closely mirrors Germany's upcoming initiatives, CANNAVIGIA's Cannabis Dispensary System will be specifically tailored to meet the requirements of German authorities. The software will enable comprehensive monitoring of all pilot project activities, ensuring that every stage of the process—from cultivation to retail sales—remains compliant with local, state, and federal laws. This data will provide essential insights into consumer behavior, helping municipalities and policy makers make informed decisions about the future of cannabis legalization.
