Back in May, KOLO 8 reported that the University of Nevada, Reno was the first college in Nevada to offer classes in cannabis. With the classes in full swing, we spoke with one student about her experience.
As a self-proclaimed "mad scientist," Christina Maness, says that as soon as she saw an advertisement on Instagram for cannabis classes at the university, she knew she had to take part. "I enjoy learning new things," Maness said. Suffering from multiple chronic conditions, Maness says cannabis is the only thing that helps.
"It started 7 years ago when I tried my first Mary's Patch and my pain just disappeared," said Maness. "Then I slept in the truck for 12 hours, and anyone with chronic pain knows sitting in a car that long is hard to do. I was sold."
By taking the classes, she hoped to find a way to treat herself.
