Jasper Watts, MORE:

“This natural approach allows a more diverse range of microbial populations to work in the rhizosphere”

"This is a unique stimulant technology which promotes the natural biological control and enhancement mechanism inherent in all microbial biosystems," says Jasper Watts, President and Head of Sales at MORE. Jasper explains that the company's biostimulant is a safe, naturally harvested additive enhancer that can be applied to seeds, plants, the rhizosphere, soil or other grow media. The company is based in California, which is why it started with a focus on the cannabis industry. "California is the leading state for cannabis production in the USA. Cannabis farming has the most cutting edge technology with the biggest profit margins of any crop, so it seemed like a good place to start," Jasper says.

The benefits
According to Jasper, MORE is an organic biostimulant that compliments organic growing systems for root development enhancement and improved plant establishment. "MORE consists of organisms that have been identified and proven over many years of research to be beneficial to plant propagation. MORE enhances the entire rhizosphere by nutrient cycling, facilitates exudate exchanges and by breaking down complex solids. This abundance of microbial life provides multiple benefits to plants and the grow medium, giving your crops the cutting edge," Jasper says.

Once introduced into the root zone, MORE will cycle phosphorus and other nutrients, microchelate complex compounds and enhance nutrient bioavailability all while breaking down suspended solids. "This helps to keep your grow environment clean and healthy. MORE microbes also outcompete potentially harmful pathogenic microbes, protecting your plant's rhizosphere."

Unlike many other biostimulant products on the market, MORE is harvested naturally, not in a laboratory, Jasper says. "This approach, along with our proprietary propagation method, enables our colonies to grow and thrive in balance to one another before being introduced into the root zone. This natural approach allows a much more diverse range of microbial populations to thrive and work together in the rhizosphere and do their unique job when called upon."

Like brewing compost tea
Jasper explains that MORE is produced on-site with their BCT system brewers right where it is needed to avoid costly logistics and shipping delays. "Once a BCT system is set up, you can dose directly from the MORE reservoir into your fertigation system. To keep the BCT running, all that is needed is to feed it the proprietary biomass powder several times a week. Think of it as a compost tea brewer, but without all the hassle and mess," he says.

Trials
The company is continuously running trials. "Common results include the following: accelerated rooting, increased root mass, increase in plant vascularity and vigor, accelerated plant growth, reduced veg duration times and a significant improvement in terpenes and THC levels."

The company has also been running trials on food crops and is working on a concentrated version to service larger farms. "Our most recent trial with AG Metrics Group garnished an average of 1,000 more pounds per acre on carrots for MORE treated plots," Jasper says.
