US (VT): Holland Cannabis challenges notice of violation from regulators

Holland Cannabis LLC, a mixed indoor outdoor grower, is disputing all of the allegations in a notice of violation from the Vermont Cannabis Control Board and calling for an investigation into testing labs.

In a response to the notice, attorney Stuart W. Revo said the CCB issued a consumer protection warning about Holland's products without warning last month. Retailers and manufacturers were ordered to stop selling any of its products due to suspected fungicide exposure.

Holland said it had already been participating in a voluntary recall that would not require a notice. The company claims the board has not seriously pursued explanations that indicate pre-rolls were "already contaminated by other actors or outside factors without Holland's knowledge."

Holland is challenging the education, training, and experience credentials at both labs where its products were tested. It also suggested there could be "a residual level of cross-contamination from the testing of agricultural products and contaminated cannabis products in the larger cannabis ecosystem."
