Recent governmental decisions in Ukraine have led to amendments to cannabis regulation. While specifics weren't detailed in the recent announcement by the Ministry of Health, a draft resolution unveiled earlier indicates significant shifts.
Cannabis and its derivatives have been reclassified, no longer considered hazardous drugs, but are subject to restricted circulation. This change aims to facilitate medical use.
Additionally, cannabis and its products, along with THC, have been added to the list of substances with restricted circulation in Ukraine. The cultivation of hemp will be permitted solely for educational, scientific, and medicinal purposes. However, the concentration of THC in dried plants intended for medicinal use must not exceed 0.3%.
The draft resolution emphasizes the heightened need for cannabinoid-based medicinal products in Ukraine, particularly for treating chronic pain, PTSD, and associated anxiety disorders among civilians and military personnel.
