The state Office of Cannabis Management is conducting a 20-stop tour across New York to host public forums that will provide details on the process of getting into the marijuana retail market.
A session is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Albany Public Library at 161 Washington Ave. The forums coincide with the opening of the retail license application process to all candidates on Oct. 4 in a window that will end on Dec. 4. The online registration link for the Albany event is: forms.office.com/g/0t9e5JYR0j
The sessions will include a portion focusing on applicants seeking to qualify as social and economic equity applicants. There will also be information on the various types of licenses — including for growing and processing — and attendees will be able to ask questions and pick up handout materials that have concise details about the industry and its regulations.
Another session is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Adam Clayton Powell Jr. State Office Building at 163 W. 125th St. in Harlem. A third session will take place at the NewRO Studios at 11 Burling Lane in New Rochelle from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
