US (NY): Springville man charged with stealing cannabis plants from East Concord greenhouse

A Springville man has been charged in connection with the theft of more than $50,000 worth of legally grown cannabis plants from an East Concord greenhouse, the Erie County Sheriff's Office said Monday.

The greenhouse theft happened Sept. 21, and investigators obtained a search warrant for a home at 5479 Twitchell Road in West Valley, the sheriff's office said in a news release.

The search warrant was executed Friday, and two more searches were conducted with consent at nearby homes. The stolen cannabis was recovered from those two homes, the sheriff's office said.

Keith Brown, 32, and another man were detained at the Twitchell Road home, where police recovered "a felony amount of narcotics."
