Hermans Technipower, part of Hermans Energy Solutions and GivEnergy Europe, will supply an energy storage system with smart control for fast charging. They will also provide grid reinforcement and enable lower peaks in power consumption. In addition, they enable sustainable construction connections or temporary energy storage.
These two companies will soon supply complete battery systems in the Netherlands. With these, you can generate energy during the day in a sustainable way (based on sun, wind, or water). You use what you need and store the rest in the battery. This way, you always have energy at times when there is no sun, wind, or water.
Jos van der Linden of GivEnergy Europe and Rik van Ogtrop of Hermans Technipower after signing the distribution agreement.
When you use dynamic energy tariffs and electricity prices are low, you charge the battery full and deploy this energy during a peak in power consumption. According to the companies, this cuts both ways: with a battery, you save the environment and money.
The market is currently facing considerable challenges. Highly variable energy tariffs create uncertainty in the long term. Electricity transport problems and the unfamiliarity and complexity of this matter call for market-specific solutions.
Hermans Technipower and GivEnergy Europe want to boost both the business and residential battery markets in the Netherlands through close cooperation. GivEnergy works together with, among others, UK energy company Octopus Energy. Production takes place partly in China and partly in England. In time, GivEnergy will also open an assembly plant in Europe.
