India: Committee gets feedback on legalizing cannabis cultivation in Himachal

Horticulture and Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi said that the committee would submit its findings on whether to legalize cannabis cultivation in Himachal or not to the government soon.

A committee was led by Jagat Singh Negi, which visited a cannabis cultivation farm in Doiwala, Uttarakhand. They wanted to study whether cannabis cultivation for industrial and non-narcotic purposes would be viable in the state.

During the visit, the committee learned about cannabis farming, its uses, different varieties, and the complexities involved. They also inspected the cannabis fields and saw how the farm operated.

The committee gathered information about the marketing of cannabis products in the market. The farm's representative explained the technical and legal aspects of cannabis production and marketing.
