The biggest individual donor to the teal independent political candidates, Sydney share trader Rob Keldoulis, has added a new string to his entrepreneurial bow – that of medicinal cannabis grower.
Mr. Keldoulis, who runs Eastern Suburbs-based trading company VivCourt, paid $3 million for a 44.26-hectare turnkey cannabis farm south of Launceston, buying it from struggling ASX-listed medicinal cannabis and industrial hemp business ECS Botanics.
The acquisition was made through a company called Blue Buffalo, which is wholly owned by Mr. Keldoulis.
Situated 30km south of Launceston in the Northern Midlands Region of Tasmania, the cannabis farm is certified organic and is licensed to produce 2.5 tonnes of medicinal cannabis a year.
