The Secretary of the Office of Development of Science and Technology of Medicinal Plants and Traditional Medicine of the Vice President also announced the formation of a scientific working group to properly guide the process of cultivation and production of modified cannabis in Iran and use its industrial and medical benefits.
He also added that: Cannabis sativa is an ancient crop native to Central Asia that, despite its importance, has been neglected by researchers for years.
He also mentioned that: By re-examining and rediscovering the medicinal properties of cannabis, today this plant is among the most important medicinal plants in the world, and has a great variety and importance in industry and medicine.
