CAN: Aurora allegedly in talks to sell two cultivation facilities, report says

After reducing the operation by 75% at its Sky facility and laying off more than 200 staff, Aurora Cannabis has concluded a deal to sell two of the Canadian cultivation facilities that closed earlier this year, MjBizDaily reports.

The two facilities in question are the Saskatchewan and the Alberta ones, that have a value of CA$12M, on paper. However, it is still not clear if these will be sold for that amount.

According to the report, a New York-based business advisor did a funding pitch of CA$28M on behalf of an anonymous client, identified in the document as 'an emerging multi-country operator in the cannabis space.'

An Aurora Cannabis spokesperson said the company “had no information to share at this stage.”

“Further to our announcement in June of the shuttering of non-core facilities, we continue to actively market the closing facilities for sale,” the spokesperson said.
