First harvest completed at Niagara-based 160,000 sq. ft. greenhouse

Aleafia Health is a Canadian cannabis producer that has a 86-acre outdoor cultivation that produces low-cost input material for cannabis products, and a 160,000 sq. ft. greenhouse facility running a perpetual harvest system. And today, the company has released some footage about their most recent, and first ever, harvest.

The greenhouse is equipped with an automated system with rolling benches and automatic potting machines, which allows the company to produce cannabis throughout the year. On top of that, the drying rooms too are automated thus ensuring the ability to control the climate in each room.

The highly valuable cannabis plant is a very needy one, and the light period is as important as the dark period. That is why Aleafia has installed blackout curtains, so to improve the environment through automatically opening or closing the curtains to adjust for the desired light level.

The pictures of the new harvest released by the company show how all their automation paid off big time. “Harvested bud runs through two stacked Mobius Trimmers, which can handle over 70kgs of flower per hour. Finally, our team does a final quality check,” the team with the company explains.
