CA: Canadian firm expands production facility

The Supreme Cannabis Company  recently secured Health Canada’s approval for six additional flowering rooms. This addition brings the company’s total production capacity up to 180,000 square feet when measured across 18 flowering rooms. The square footage increase signifies a 50 percent gain from prior production estimates.

"This timely expansion takes place as Canada’s cannabis industry has experienced a prolonged supply shortage. According to Cowen & Co., nearly half of all items available on provincial e-commerce websites remain out of stock. As legalization efforts spread, more customers are drawn to the cannabis industry. This widening customer base is only projected to continue with the legalization of edibles expected in October, encouraging licensed producers to expand production capacity," the company explains.
